Kee Avil - Spine
I discovered Kee Avil supporting Suuns in London and a welcome discovery it was. This, her second album, out on the mighty fine Constellation Records follows on from debut Crease but feels a little rawer, a bit more stripped back. It’s a bit of a gem to be honest. It’s unpredictable and doesn’t do anything in a straightforward manner. I do love when a musician keeps you guessing, wondering. In many ways it’s sound design but with a strong melodic quality throughout and her voice is utilised to perfection. It’s great. Check it out below.
