Cameron Winter - Heavy Metal

I like interesting voices. I always have. I don’t like pop voices. I don’t like pure voices. There are the odd exceptions but for the most part I’m looking for character in a vocal. And I like surprises. So when I put on new music and I like the intro I’m always waiting for the voice - usually to make me skip or end the song. I have to be honest, I fully expected to do that with this record. I don’t know the music of Geese or Cameron Winter. I think I was expecting some American, indie, bog standard. I was not expecting what I got. So I recommend you check out this superb record. There’s a massive bit of Rufus Wainwright here - particularly on songs like Drinking Age. And that’s no bad thing. One to watch.
